Cricket
Cricket darts is the other classic next to X01, and the more tactical one. Close 15 to 20 and the bull before your opponents do, and score on any number they still have open. Sridu keeps the marks and the score and lights up the numbers still in play.
- Head to head, a whole group or teams, with bots if you like
- A chalkboard-style marks table for every player
- Numbers everybody has closed go dark on the board
- Each dart shows its result: marks, closed, points or dead
- Standard, Cut-Throat or no points for beginners
- 15 to 20, Tactics with the 10 to 20, Mickey Mouse or random numbers

How a leg works
The rules of cricket darts
You play the 15 to the 20 and the bull, three darts a visit, taking turns.
- Close the numbersA number needs three marks to close. A single counts one, a double two, a treble three. The outer bull is one mark, the bullseye two.
- Score on your closed numbersOnce you have closed a number, every further hit on it scores its value, as long as at least one opponent still has it open.
- Dead numbersOnce everybody has closed a number, it is dead and hits on it score nothing.
- Close all seven and leadYou win the leg when you have closed all seven numbers and have at least as many points as everybody else.
The table
One, two, closed
The marks table lists the numbers down the middle with each player’s marks beside them, drawn the way you would on a chalkboard:
- One mark
A single, or the outer bull.
- Two marks
A double counts twice, and so does the bullseye.
- Closed
Three marks close the number. A treble closes it with one dart.
Once everybody has closed a number, its row fades out, so you can see at a glance which numbers are still in play.
Setting · Points
Standard, Cut-Throat or no points
Anna has closed the 20, Ben hasn’t yet. Anna hits a treble 20:
- StandardDefaultAnna +60
Anna scores 60. You only score on a number you have closed while somebody else still has it open. Close all seven with the most points to win.
- Cut-ThroatHarderBen +60
The 60 goes to Ben as penalty points. Close all seven with the fewest points to win. Best with three or four players.
- No pointsEasier0
No points are scored. The first to close all seven wins. Good for beginners and children.
Variants
Tactics, Random, Hidden and Cut-Throat
The best-known cricket variants only change the numbers or the scoring, so they are settings of Cricket rather than separate modes. Pick Cricket and set it up like this:
- Tactics10 to 20 and the bull
- Numbers 10–20 (Tactics)
Tactics adds the 10 to the 14, so there are twelve targets to close instead of seven. The legs get longer and the low numbers suddenly matter. Scoring works as in normal cricket.
- Random CricketNew every leg
- Numbers Random
Six numbers from 1 to 20 are drawn at the start of every leg, the same for everybody, and the bull stays in. Nobody gets to lean on their favourite numbers.
- Hidden CricketSecret numbers
- Numbers Hidden
Six numbers are drawn as in Random Cricket, but nobody is told which. A number only lights up once somebody hits it, so every dart is a guess at first. Here the 13 and the 4 have been found.
- Cut-Throat3 players or more
- Points Cut-Throat
Your points land on every opponent who still has the number open, and the fewest points win. It works with any of the number sets.
The names vary from pub to pub. Some players use Tactics for a version with extra targets for doubles and trebles. In Sridu, Tactics means the 10 to 20 and the bull. You can combine both settings, so Cut-Throat Tactics works too.
Variant
Mickey Mouse
Cricket with twelve targets: the 20 down to the 12, then any double, any treble and the bull, three marks each. In Sridu it is a setting of Cricket: pick Mickey Mouse under Numbers.

The app does the counting, so you can think about which number to go for next:
- T20+60
- 18closed
- D172 marks
- T20dead
- 5no cricket
- The dart chips show the result of each dart: the points it scored, closed, the marks it added, dead on a number everybody has closed, or no cricket for anything outside 15 to 20 and the bull.
- The board lights up the numbers that still count for the player at the oche, and dead numbers go dark.
- The turn panel shows your points and how far ahead or behind you are, with a hint when you need to score.
- The caller announces the marks after every visit and gives seven marks or more a big call.
Setup
Start a game
Pick Cricket in the game setup. The rest works like any other match.
- PlayersSolo practice, head to head, a whole group or teams. Bots can join at your level.
- Numbers15–20 (the default), 10–20 for Tactics, Mickey Mouse with the 20 to 12, doubles, trebles and the bull, six random numbers drawn every leg, or Hidden: six random numbers nobody sees until they are hit (Hidden Cricket). The bull is always in. See the variants.
- PointsStandard (the default), Cut-Throat or No points. Compare the three options above.
- HandicapsSet per player. Start with one or two marks on every number, with the 15 already closed (or the 15 to 17), or both. With one mark everywhere, a beginner needs a third fewer marks to close the board. In Tactics you can close the 10 up to the 14, so a beginner plays classic cricket against a Tactics player.
- LegsOne leg, first to 2, first to 3, or any number up to 99.
- SetsNone, first to 2, first to 3, or more.
- Who throws firstThe first player in the list, a bull-off or random. In each new leg the next player throws first.
Statistics
Marks per round
In cricket the number that matters is MPR, marks per round of three darts. An MPR of 2 is solid club level, 3 or more is strong. Sridu shows it live on each player’s card, on the end screen and in your statistics. Cricket matches also count for the MPR leaderboard, but only for players throwing for themselves, not for bots or teams. Only games on the 15 to 20 go on it, because Tactics and random numbers make an MPR mean something else.
Tips
Play it smart
- Trebles close in one. Aim for the treble. If the dart drops into the single, you still get a mark.
- Score before you close more. Ahead on marks but behind on points? Hit your closed numbers while the others still have them open.
- Close their scoring number. If an opponent keeps scoring on the 20, close it. Once it is dead, those points dry up.
- New to the game? Play a few legs with No points to learn the numbers, then switch to Standard.
- Three or four players? Try Cut-Throat, where every point you score lands on the others.
- Just the two of you? Try Scram for a change. One player only closes, the other only scores, and then you swap. More duels are in darts games for two.
- The other cricket. English Cricket has nothing to close: one of you bats for runs over 40, the other bowls at the bull for wickets.
