Play darts together, online or in the same room
Put the live score on your phone, play darts online against a friend at their own board in another city, or find an opponent in the lobby. All it takes is the Connect button and a code, and nobody needs an account.
- A phone or tablet as a second screen
- Online matches, board against board
- Devices connect directly and encrypted
- Nothing to install on the second device
Three ways
Who plays with you?
The game always runs on the device at your board. Every other device connects to it.
- Same roomA second screenScan the code with a phone or tablet and it follows the match live. If you like, it can also correct darts.Good for: the scorer at the oche, a TV on the wall
- AnywhereAn online opponentSend an invitation. Your friend throws at their own board with their own cameras, and you both play the same match.Needs: a board on both sides, cameras recommended
- AnyoneThe lobbySee who is online, chat, open a match for everyone or challenge a player directly.Good for: a quick game when your friends are busy
Two of you at one board need no second device at all: Battleship hides both fleets on one screen, and Tennis Darts and Snooker Darts are duels at the same oche.

Online match
Play darts online, board against board
Your friend throws at their own board and their cameras score their darts. You still play one match together.
- Send the invitationTap Connect, then Copy invitation or Share. You can also challenge someone in the lobby.
- Your friend opens itThe link switches on Own board for them. They set up their cameras once or enter their darts by hand.
- They join your player listTheir name replaces an unused second player. Pick a mode and start.

- –Dart 2
- –Dart 3
- BoardcamThe others watch the thrower’s board live. The camera picture is small and steady, and it is only sent while that player is at the oche.
- Everyone scores their own dartsEach side only reports its own throws, so nobody at the other board can change yours. Every score is recalculated from where the dart landed.
- Bull-off and callerYou can bull off from separate boards, and the caller and sounds play at every board. Each board uses its own sound pack. No audio goes over the network.
- Pause togetherAnyone can ask for a break. If players are at other boards, everyone has to agree. The match then waits exactly where it stopped.
Lobby
Find an opponent
Turn on the lobby under a name of your choice and you meet everyone else who has it on.
- See who is online with their three-dart average, so you know what you are in for. A tick next to it means the server checked the figure itself. Tap a name for the full profile card.
- Open a match with Open an online game. Everyone can see it, and whoever taps Join sends you a request to play.
- Challenge a player straight from their name. Once they accept, the match is set up.
- Play a warm-up game while you wait for your opponent. You get three of seven (bull streak, Around the Clock, Bob’s 27, doubles round, trebles round, 20s hunt and double roulette) and can shuffle for others. You throw for a record, the cameras count along, and it ends by itself when the match starts. If several of you are at the board, tap who is throwing or switch on Take turns, so every record goes to the right person. Its place on the board shows right next to it, on this device and online.
- Chat and highlights share one feed, with 180s, big finishes and wins. You can mute or block anyone and report anything that does not belong there.

Who gets in
Your code is the key
Only someone with your code can join. The code is inside the QR code on your screen or in a link you sent. To approve each new device yourself, turn on Ask before devices join.

- At homeThe switch is off by default, because whoever has the code is family or a friend.
- On a public serverThe switch is on by default. Every player can change it in the Connect dialog.
- Let in without askingA device on your own network (say, a phone that scanned the code in the room), a device you let in before, and an opponent you just accepted in the lobby.
- Start freshNew code disconnects every device and forgets who was let in. Old links stop working at once.
Under the hood
Straight from device to device
No Sridu server sits in the middle of your match. The devices find each other once and then talk directly.
- HandshakeTwo browsers cannot find each other on their own. To say hello, they leave a few encrypted kilobytes in a public mailbox (MQTT). Your code is the key, so the mailbox cannot read them.
- Direct connectionFrom then on the score, the darts and the boardcam go straight between the devices over WebRTC, encrypted end to end.
- Relay, only if neededSome networks block direct connections, mobile data or strict routers for example. Then it takes a relay (TURN) that passes the traffic on, still encrypted. play.sridu.com runs none at the moment, so an online match on such a network won’t connect there. If you host Sridu yourself, you can run your own relay. To test your network, use Online connection & boardcam in the Connect dialog.
Hosting Sridu yourself? Run your own mailbox and relay, and even the handshake stays on your server. More under self-hosting.
FAQ
Good to know
Does the second device need an app or an account?
No. It opens Sridu in the browser, straight from the QR code or the link. There is nothing to sign up for or install.
Do I need an internet connection at home?
For the handshake, yes. After that the devices in your house talk to each other directly over your own network. A self-hosted Sridu with its own mailbox keeps even the handshake at home.
What if the connection drops?
The game runs on the main device and carries on there. A phone or an opponent reconnects automatically and gets the current score straight away.
Can my opponent change my score?
No. A player at another board only reports their own darts. Only your own second screens can correct darts, and only with the switch on.
Can we play a tournament across several boards?
Yes. Set up a tournament and turn on online sign-up. Players join from their own board by link or QR code, and every match is played board against board. Results go back into the draw automatically. Everybody follows the live matches on the tournament dashboard.
Which game modes work online?
All the classics such as X01 and Cricket, plus Tic-Tac-Toe as a party game. A second screen shows every mode, including party games, training and the hourly challenges.
Can I stream my match?
Yes. Streamer mode puts the scoreboard over your camera picture in OBS or Streamlabs. The overlay joins your board with its own link, like any other device, and only watches.
Who’s up for a game?
Open the app, tap Connect and send the invitation. A minute later you and your friend play darts online, each at your own board.
