Battleship
Battleship on the dartboard. Each side hides a fleet on the board while the other looks away. Then you take turns, three darts at the other fleet, and every dart is water, a hit or a sunk ship. Sink the whole fleet first to win.
- Two sides, or you against a bot
- 82 fields to hide your ships in
- Classic fleet of four ships, or a quick one
- Unrated, so it never touches your average
- 6Hit!
- T11Hit!
- T12Sunk!
Sunk: a ship of 4
The rules
How Battleship works
Hide your ships well, then hunt down the other fleet.
- Hide your fleetEach side places its ships on a screen only they get to see: four ships of 5, 4, 3 and 2 fields. The other side looks away meanwhile.
- Ships lie in a lineA ship takes up fields side by side, either round the board in one ring or along a number from the outside in. Ships may not cross.
- Three darts a visitYou take turns. Every dart fires at the field it lands in, on the other side’s fleet: water, a hit, or sunk.
- Sink ship by shipA ship goes down once every one of its fields is hit. A field you have shot at before brings nothing.
- Sink the whole fleetThe first side to sink every ship of the other fleet wins the leg.

The ships
How a ship can lie
Fields side by side, in a straight line round the board or into the middle.
- Round the board✓
D20 · D1 · D18
In one ring, on numbers side by side. Doubles, trebles and both singles all work.
- Along a number✓
D20 · outer 20 · T20 · inner 20 · 25
From the outside in, field by field. A long ship runs on into the 25, and the 50 comes after that.
- Ships may not cross✕
T19 · T7 · T16
D7 · outer 7 · T7One field, one ship. Lay a ship across another and the app tells you: There’s no room for the ship there.
Hiding the fleet
Place your fleet in secret
Both sides play on one device, so Sridu covers the screen while a fleet is placed.

Everyone else looks away for a moment.

Firing
What a dart does
Three darts a visit, whatever they hit. The other fleet stays hidden until you find it.
- D9Water
Nothing there. The field turns blue for the rest of the leg.
- T9Hit!
Part of a ship. It stays afloat until every one of its fields is hit.
- T12Sunk!
The last field of a ship. The app calls out its size: Sunk: a ship of 4.
- D11Already fired at
A field shot at before brings nothing, whatever lies there.

In the game
What you see on screen
Your darts land on the other side’s fleet, and the board shows what they found.
- The fleet you fire at: big and bright, with water in blue, hits in red and sunk ships in dark red. A ship nobody has found yet stays invisible.
- Your own fleet: next to it and dimmed, so you see what the other side has found so far. On a phone only the fleet you fire at is shown.
- The fleet bar: under each board, one block per ship. A sunk ship turns red.
- Each dart: its chip reads Water, Hit!, Sunk! or Already fired at. A sunk ship gets its size called out, for example Sunk: a ship of 4.
- A wrong dart? Tap its chip and correct it, as in every other mode.
Setup
Start a game
Open Party & duels in the game setup and pick Battleship, or search for it by name. The rest works like any match.
- PlayersAlways two sides: two players at your board, or you against a bot. With three or more players you play in two teams.
- Fleet5 · 4 · 3 · 2 (the default) or 4 · 3 · 2. See the settings.
- Hiding the fleetEach side places its ships on the covered screen, or taps At random. A bot places its fleet at random.
- LegsOne leg, first to 2, first to 3 or more. Every leg starts with new fleets. Mini games have no sets.
- Who throws firstThe first player in the list, a bull-off or random. After that the sides take turns to start a leg.
- UnratedBattleship doesn’t touch your average, your statistics or the leaderboards. Sridu only keeps count of your wins.
Tips
How to sink the fleet faster
- Follow up a hit. The rest of the ship is right next to it: on the numbers either side in the same ring, or further in or out on the same number.
- Hide ships in the thin rings. The double and treble rings are hard to hit on purpose, so a ship there takes more darts to find and sink.
- Don’t waste darts. A field you have shot at before brings nothing. Check the board before each dart: blue is water, red is a hit.
- No cameras? Tap the spot on the board where the dart landed. A single typed in by its number always counts as the big outer single.
- More board games with darts? Tic-Tac-Toe and Connect Four are duels on a grid, and in Dart Bingo you cross off the fields on your card.
