Beat It
One number runs the whole game: the visit before yours. Beat it and your score becomes the target for the next player. Fall short and a heart is gone. Easy enough for a party, tense enough for league night.
- Two players or more, teams and bots welcome
- 1 to 10 lives, shown as hearts
- Bonus life, tie rule and Up / Down
- Unrated: all the thrill, none of the pressure on your average

The rules
How a game works
Everybody plays against the same number: the score of the visit right before theirs. Three darts, one question. Can you top it?
- The first visit sets the barThe game starts at 0, so any score beats it. Whatever the opener throws becomes the first target of the leg.
- Score more or lose a heartYour three darts have to add up to more than the bar. Do it and your total is the new bar. Fall short and one of your hearts breaks.
- A weak visit is the next player’s chanceIf you fall short, your own total becomes the bar. One bad visit hands the next player an easy target, so nobody is out of it for long.
- The last heart standing winsNo hearts left and you are out of the leg. The last player with a heart wins it. Play a single leg or first to two, three or more.
A game in numbers
Watch the bar climb and crash
Six visits between three players. Each card shows the bar the player faced, their darts, and what the visit leaves for the next one.

Why it never runs away: a big visit piles the pressure on the next player, but the moment somebody misses it, the bar drops right back to their score. Tension and relief, visit after visit.

Every life is a heart
Pick anything from 1 to 10 lives with a slider. On the scoreboard they are hearts, so one glance tells the whole room who is safe and who is one visit away from going home.
- Three livesAnnaBest visit 81
The default. Full hearts are the lives left, and the whole table sees at a glance who is in danger.
- A heart breaksBenBest visit 60
Fall short and one heart shakes and turns into an outline. Lost lives stay visible, so you always know how many there were.
- Up to tenCleoBest visit 140
From six lives on the hearts get smaller and closer, so ten still fit in one row, even on a phone with eight players.

Three rules that change the game
All three are off by default, so the classic game is always one tap away. Switch them on one at a time or all together.

BeatenMatching the bar already counts. It makes the game kinder and longer. Against the empty opening bar of 0 it never counts, so three misses stay three misses.
- Up / DownOn or offTo beat ↑60Ben scores 45: a heart is goneStay below ↓60The bar stays, the direction turns
- 19Dart 1
- 12Dart 2
- 5Dart 3
36Stayed belowEvery lost heart turns the direction, and the bar stays where it was. Going down, the visit has to stay below the bar and every dart has to score: one miss and the heart is gone.
Up / Down only turns where the new direction can still be played. Against a bar of 3, staying below with three scoring darts is impossible, so the game keeps going up instead.
In the game
What the screen tells you
Everything you need sits in the middle of the screen, big enough to read from the oche.
- The bar: the big number in the middle, with To beat above it. In Up / Down an arrow shows the direction, and going down it says Stay below.
- The countdown: the hint under your visit tells you what is still missing, like 42 to go or At most 59. The moment you have done it, it says Beaten.
- Your darts: three small darts on your card show how many throws are left in the visit. Thrown ones turn grey.
- A wrong dart? Tap its chip and correct it, just like in any other game. Hearts and bar follow the correction.
- Your best visit stays on your card for the whole game, so the bragging rights are settled on the spot.
Setup

Open Mini games in the game setup and pick Beat It. Everything else is set just like a match.
- PlayersTwo or more at your board, and bots of your own strength can join in. Turn on teams and teammates share their hearts and take turns visit by visit.
- Uneven teamsTwo against one? Choose how turns go. With every side equally often, the lone player throws every visit of their side. With every player equally often, everybody throws once per round, so the bigger team gets more visits.

- Bonus life fromNone, 100+, 140+ or 180. See bonus life.
- A tie is enoughOff by default. See the tie rule.
- Up / DownOff by default. See Up / Down.
- LegsOne leg, first to 2, first to 3, or more. Every leg starts from a bar of 0 with full hearts. There are no sets in mini games.
- Who throws firstThe top of the list, a bull-off or random. From the second leg on, the start moves on.
- UnratedBeat It doesn’t touch your average, your statistics or the leaderboards. Sridu only keeps count of your wins.
Tips
How to keep your hearts
- Score, don’t gamble. Against a low bar, a steady 45 on the big numbers is worth more than a wild shot at the treble.
- A big visit is a weapon. Put 100 on the board and the next player has to answer under pressure. Most of the time, they won’t.
- Down a heart? Go big. With a bonus life switched on, a heavy visit doesn’t just beat the bar, it wins your heart back.
- Going down, keep it on the board. In Up / Down every dart has to score, and a single 1 still counts. Aim for the small numbers and leave the next player almost no room.
- The perfect warm up: scoring under pressure, visit after visit, without a single dart counting against your average.
